■Independent research
In independent research, we collect, organize and analyze a wide variety of information on the economy and society in the Kyushu, Okinawa, and Yamaguchi region, and we propose policies and strategies accordingly.
By researching and analyzing the updated statistical data in the whole of the Kyushu, Okinawa, and Yamaguchi region, we are grasping the economic and business trends.We are also the executing agency of the “Economy Watchers Survey” for the Kyushu district (economic trends), which the Cabinet Office holds monthly.
These pieces of information are sent to everyone via publications of periodicals such as the “Monthly Bulletin of Kyushu Economic Research”, “Data Kyushu”, “Outline of Kyushu Economy”,“Economic Survey of Kyushu” or e-mail newsletters.

■Contract research
As a tradition since our establishment, we make an analysis based on surveys, with tools such as correct data and interviews. We also carry out research while also taking advantage of a wide range of network and external researchers, such as universities and corporations.
Our achievements in commissioned research activities of more than 50 projects a year is one of the strengths of our organization. In the time where regional issues become complicated and sophisticated, we conduct analysis and make proposals which can meet the various challenges.Please make use of this in planning and policy makings.
